I recently had a toolbar that would not go away no matter how hard I tried to get rid of it. I typically would follow these instructions to remove a toolbar….
START….Control Panel….Uninstall a Program…Uninstall…Restart Computer.
Simple!
However, this particular toolbar would not go away no matter what I did. So, how did I get rid of it?
(I am using Firefox)
I opened my browser, clicked the FIREFOX at the top left corner of the page, Clicked ADD-ONS, Clicked on EXTENSIONS and then scrolled down to the toolbar I wanted to remove and clicked Remove. That’s it! (Be sure to restart your computer).
I hope that this helps someone who may be facing the same problem I had.
Good Luck with those pesky toolbars!
I always have things on my computer that I’m not sure how got there and not sure how to remove! 😀 Thanks for the post!
You’re welcome and thanks for stopping by Dawn! 🙂
Ugh! Those annoying toolbars! It seems like they always sneak them in when you are installing something else and the box just happens to already be checked when you install the other program. Thanks for sharing! I’ve got a pesky one right now I am going to get rid of!
Never know when this could be handy. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
I am horrible with computers, and always have things like this happen. Bookmarking so I know what to do!
Thanks for this tutorial! I hate when I cannot figure out how to remove a toolbar!!
That can be so annoying and it is usually something that I had no idea I had added. Thanks for letting us know how to resolve the issue.
