Sometimes when life is going really really well I forget how much I don’t like to wait, but then when things aren’t going so well I’m quickly reminded of the wait…
Life is full of challenges, ups and downs and all sorts of turns in the road. It can certainly be a journey, to say the least. Learning to trust in God and lean on Him can also be hard, especially when you don’t like to wait.
One thing I’ve learned is that oftentimes when you feel like nothing is happening THAT is when EVERYTHING is happening. You don’t get the rainbow without the storm, right?
The next time you find yourself caught up in the wait, just remember that something BIG is about to happen and God has this. Not only does He have this, but He’s had this from the very beginning. He knows exactly what you NEED and He’s already got a plan. Before you even asked, He knew. Before you knew what you wanted, He knew. Sometimes we think we know what we want and we are so anxious to get it that we forget God knows so much better than we do and He has a plan for our life that is so much greater than anything we could ever think in our minds. When you think He’s not listening or He doesn’t have a plan for your life…when you are waiting…take time to pray, reflect on God and the miracles he has done for those in the bible and those here on earth today. Remember that our time and God’s time are not the same and He knows what we need and when we need it.
I pray blessings come your way!
This post is definitely speaking to me today. My dad always reminds me that God answers our prayers with either: yes, no or wait. More times than not, it’s wait. It can be hard to wait (really feeling the pain during our current house hunt!!!! Hurry up!! =) ) but there is a comfort in knowing even if you cannot see the answer, one is coming.
Your dad is very wise! I have always said, His answer is…Yes, Not Now, or I have something better in store. God’s timing is always perfect, we just don’t always see it until the time is here. Prayers for you!
It is so hard to have the patience to wait for anything, but we are rewarded for that patience in the end.
