What’s your favorite place to be?

I mean, if you could spend as much time as you wanted in any place in the world, where would it be?

I love to visit the Smoky Mountains!

I am seriously in love with the beautiful scenery. I can’t get enough of that view and the fresh air blowing my hair. I just love everything about the Smoky Mountains. I guess you could say…

“The Mountains are Calling My Name.”

We traveled to the Great Smoky Mountains a couple of weeks ago. This is nothing new for us. We visit the area as often as we can, which is typically about once a year, though we have missed a couple of years due to finances, births of babies or other family events that kept us from traveling.

We were extremely pampered on this trip. I could go on and on about how awesome the trip was, but I’m sure the photos will speak for themselves. For starters, we stayed in a beautiful resort, Gatlinburg Falls Resort, at the edge of Gatlinburg. It was so conveniently located because it wasn’t in the middle of town and yet, it wasn’t super far up a mountain or out of town either. We could easily drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge for all of the fun activities, but we could also stop by our cabin and relax, change clothes or fix a quick meal.

Our cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed during our week stay. It even had a game room that my boys took total advantage of! There were arcade games, air hockey, a pool table and even a separate movie room! It’s a good thing we packed the popcorn! 🙂

About Gatlinburg Falls Resort:

Gatlinburg Falls Resort is operated by Venture Resorts, the largest cabin rental agency in the Smoky Mountains. They started out with cabins in Gatlinburg Falls Parkview Resort, but have since grown and now manage over 400 cabins in resorts around Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Wears Valley.

The editors of Southern Living Magazine named them the #1 Family Resort in the Smokies! I must say that I don’t disagree. The service is superior and the cabins are so clean and well taken care of. As a matter of fact, they have a high rate of return by guests who come back to the area again.

With 400 cabins to choose from, you are bound to find one your family will fall in love with and enjoy. Cabins range in size from 1 bedroom to 18 bedrooms! Wouldn’t it be cool to stay in an 18 bedroom Smoky Mountain Mansion? It would definitely make a great family retreat!

Cabin amenities vary by cabin, but include things such as Jacuzzi tubs, pool tables, game rooms with arcade games (Galaga, Ms PacMan) and some even have home theaters! Some of the cabins allow pets with a generous pet policy: $50 pet deposit, with no size or weight restrictions.
