Cast Your Cares Away

One of my favorite songs right now says…

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

So often I will be going through something that seems so hard. Just when I start feeling like I’m sinking this song will come into my head and immediately I know that it will be okay, as long as I trust in God and allow him to lead me and help me walk upon the waters.

Do you feel like you have been sinking an awful lot lately? Are the waters getting deeper and there really seems to be no end in sight/no shore ahead? Please know that as long as you turn to God and cast your cares away (to Him), you will quickly find your trust without borders, your feet walking upon waters and your faith will be made stronger.

As it says in the bible in Matthew 14:29-31,

And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

I bet Jesus is often saying this to us, but we just ignore him time and time again. Can you imagine how frustrated we would get if our children were constantly doubting us and not listening to what we have asked of them? Time and time again we ask our children to trust in us. We need to remember that our Father in heaven has asked the same of us.

When times get tough and there seems to be no end in sight, when you can no longer stand…kneel.

  4. I think we all face these types of moments and it is often hard to step forward when we feel like we are in the dark. I’m sure your faith will see you through.

  5. thanks for the reminder, I know I can make it through.. some days are dark but they always get better.

  6. It is wonderful knowing that Jesus is there to intercede for us, and help to carry us through the hard times. The hard part is remembering to praise Him during the good times as well. He is there with us always.
